Setup wants to turn on location services. They are already on for Wyse, but Wyse doesn’t see that. There’s an option in setup for “No Thanks” but that won’t let me proceed.
The way apps do permissions, if you select no and the app forces something, then its required or “required” to use the app. Location is an odd one as it can be tied to other things because of Android’s awkward forced use of it but be not actually used by the app. Like as an example, Bluetooth tends to require location permission too even though that never made any sense (welcome to what app makers have to deal with).
But, this app has features that require location as they’re location based features and its possible that they don’t disable that part of the app and so force location to get enabled to use the app.
Etc. Its not necessarily anything to think about. If you’re that paranoid then don’t use the app.
If however, its showing and is really enabled then the app has a bug there and you should try to clear data or uninstall/reinstall. If that doesn’t work then have to wait for an app update. That can happen too. Its easy for app makers to get into a bad loop there because of how asking for permissions works.
