From other threads on the garage door notifications with the v4, it seemed hit or miss for some people, as instead of relying on a QR code, it relies on just learning what it looks like open and closed, which is subject to lighting conditions etc.
If you go to the image for the alerts is there any difference between them at all, maybe half open vs fully open? It is a fairly new feature that was added in “quietly” by Wyze, not sure if it is fully polished yet.

@SirDave, does Reset Services in the Cam’s Settings have any effect?
@LordDave[1], Wyze announced AI Garage Door Detection as a “NEW Subscriber Feature” last summer. Initially it was for Cam v4 and Cam v3 Pro only, but a couple of months ago I saw it on a Cam OG I was moving when changing some settings. I’m not sure which other Cams might have this feature now. I guess “new” is relative, and I imagine they’re making continuous changes to it as they do with their other “AI” detections.
I also recall someone in one of the other threads saying it seemed to take a while to “learn” and after a day it was working 100%, not sure if that was wyze tweaking or if there was actually something learning their specific view or not.
I think both, but I don’t imagine that accounts for duplicate notifications. This particular feature shows event snapshots of whatever view a Cam has of a garage door and pre-labels them as “Open” or “Closed”. When I review images just now, some are partially opened or closed, and the images are static, so I don’t really know without more context (memory of a specific event based on date/time) if the door is in the process of opening or closing. Users are supposed to be able to review those, making any necessary corrections, and submit them back to Wyze to assist with the tool’s “learning”. I think this would be improved with animated images, though.

My garage open notification is my neighbor texting “hey your garage door is open want me to shut it?”
Do you get duplicates, or has your neighbor been adequately trained?
He’s not very smart phone savvy so probably a few other Daves get the notification too.
Oh, so maybe @SirDave is getting your notifications.
