Yes there are other threads discussing the release for those cams, which has been in the works for a while and came out around 2 weeks ago in final form. Many have been using it since it was in beta and reports seem to be that it works well once configured and working, but some programs can be a bit tricky to get fully configured properly. This thread is about the v4 which doesn’t yet have RTSP.
Can anyone tell me if and when rtsp for the v4 is released will it include the pan v4 as well or will that be a separate wait? I have two V4’s now and am thinking of getting the pan v4
Thanks
Wyze has not mentioned any sort of release date. It is not yet in beta so it will be a while. I believe it is the next cam they plan to target.
Since the v3 and Panv3 got it at the same time, maybe the v4 and Panv4 will too, but that’s just speculation.
I reverted back to same firmware and v4 still does not function properly at all in docker wyze bridge its just stuck on the first image cam saw. Neither HLS or rtsp work and ive tweaked the Docker Compose file every gd way imaginable to sort the issue. One thing I know is that I am never buying another GD wyze product as long as I live bc of all the gd time I have wasted on trying to get this sorry Busch league POS Camera to function how it should have from day 1!
Hey all! Sorry for such late response on this. The RTSP for v4 firmware update got slotted behind some EU firmware as we prepare Wyze to enter the European market. We actually have the RTSP firmware done now, it just needs to go through an internal QA and then we can release to beta. The QA team told me they will do it asap after the EU firmware, and that we should have the beta launched in about a month.
Great to hear that news! I am greatly looking forward to getting RTSP for my v4 cameras!
Fantastic news! Is the v3 Pro an entirely different development as far as RTSP is concerned?
And would you be willing to share anything about the development priorities for RTSP (in terms of products)?
Excited to hear this. I have a V4 I’ve been holding on to in hopes it would get RTSP working somehow.
Just checking in. Any more new on this front? I have two Wyze V4s ready to go when the firmware drops.
Any update?
Also looking for an update.
Fourth-ed
Any update - Please!
What a hassle that Wyze, do not realize that those who want RTSP or ONVIF are support people, who recommend their cameras, if their idea is to remove RTSP and force to use their cloud there is public, ordinary people, but those who work with cameras or are more enthusiastic will never recommend and buy their products again. A shame that they do not understand, I have worked with Hikvision for a decade and I continue to recommend it precisely for what we ask here. Greetings.
This thread is about adding RTSP. The v4 does not have it and never has, so why are you putting some conspiracy theory out?
If they were trying to force subscriptions why would they be adding this feature to multiple cams?
Wow. Such a let down.
Any chance for an early 4. of July present maybe? I really a new indoor camera and am waiting for the RTSP to order a v4.
@WyzeDave Any updates on the European market? In the past, I bought cameras from your website or Amazon, but for a future project I’d like to buy them directly in the EU. I need 12 Wyze Cam V4, but they need to support RTSP (Home Assistant installation).
Waiting so long for RTSP support. I can use Wyze Bridge for now, but a native solution is something we all need
Still Waiting!!!
