V3, cam unlimited subscription, 12 sec vids

I currently have four Wyze cams. One v2 and three v3. I was subscribed Cam plus, then Cam plus lite and currently Unlimited. Even when on Cam plus I could not record more than 12 sec videos or less than 5 min between events on the v3 cams. V2 cam records as it should. My subscription shows all cams assigned to Unlimited plan. All settings between v2 and v3 are the same.

I have searched the forums. I have been through Chat twice. I talked to a pleasant young lady at the help line that thinks since my phone does not support Wyze app 3.0 and that is the problem. If so why does v2 work and not v3? I’ve been fighting this since before 3.0 came out.

I am Not good at typing and will be in and out all weekend so please bare with me for any responsive s.

Have you tried logging into the Wyze web site?

Go to My Account - My Services and see if your cameras are assigned to the correct Wyze service.

I’ve been all over the Wyze web site. FAQ’s, A.I. Chat. The young girl at the Help Desk said under the Unlimited plan you don’t have to assign cameras. All your cameras are automatically assigned. I don’t know why v2 works and 3 v3’s don’t. Something stupid simple I suppose.

Delete the Cam V3 in the app and set it up again from the beginning. It’s a known bug in which sometimes the camera are not properly assigned to Cam Unlimited automatically in their system.

That’s true but I see people who intially have Cam Plus but their cameras don’t automatically switch over to Cam Unlimited. Make sure that your cameras did transfer by checking your account at the link that StevenA mentioned.

Tried all suggestion. Heres the results

Before delete

Check wyze web, my services, subscriptions. Four cams assigned and listed to Cam Unlimited.

Check wyze app, home, Account, services, Cam Unlimited- Annual renews Feb-28-2026

No Cams Listed . Toggle to cam plus lite. No Cams Listed.

Check router all cams listed 2.4G and connected.

Delete and remove SD cards.

Add 3 v3’s. ALL assigned to Cam Unlimited .

Everything stayed the same as above.

Hit reset on all three just in case.

Still 12 sec videos, 5 min cool down.

Notifications and A.I. detection seem normal.

One thing I noticed that after adding the cams when connecting to the router they failed to connect after two attempts. I closed the app and reopened it. Connected immediately.

I don’t remember if you have contacted Wyze support. You should if you haven’t.

Not sure if this recent experience of mine is relevant. One of my floodlights was powered off by mistake and when turned on, no events were being recorded anymore. I toggled all the recording settings, reset the connection, still no go.

Then as a last resort, I rebooted it from the app. It started recording events again.
