V2 cams work with Netgear Orbi AC1200 mesh system? dual band SSID?

I had an issue getting the cam to connect to my previous mesh router (Amplifi HD). After I set up a separate SSID that was dedicated to the 2.4 band it worked perfectly. I am setting up a second system for another property and was looking at the Orbi AC1200 mesh system. However, Netgear says they cannot create an SSID dedicated to 2.4GHz. They claim the Orbi will connect and work properly but I have my doubts. Anyone have experience with this system and Wyze V2 cams?

some people do have mesh with camera.

I have the Orbi AC2200 mesh system …it did auto select 2.4 Ghz band on its own.
Have 4 Wyze cam V2s and 2 pans with 3 Bridges with multi senses …all working.

I have an Eero mesh system which broadcasts dual frequencies and the Wyze products love it. No need to specify anything but the network name and password and the cams connect flawlessly.

I don’t have the Orbi system, but I do use the 1st generation Google Mesh WiFi and didn’t have a problem setting up any of my 15+ devices on it.

I have Orbi and I did have some minor issues with the cam. I also had other issues setting up other various smart devices. Here is what I did. I set up the guest network, limited it to 2.4g and then made that my dedicated “smart network”. Now I have 45+/- devices all on the guest network, including my cams and never have an issue.

I have not had issue with my Orbi. But can you tell me how you set up a dedicated guest network. I’m getting up in there in smart devices too and wonder if a network just for them would be a good idea.

Sorry, just saw this. I’ll have to look into it again. It’s been over a year since I did it and I don’t remember exactly how I did it. I know I had to do it on my computer and not through the android app. I’ll dig into it later this week and let you know how I did it.
