Hello everyone, beta app connection issue with RTSP firmware should be fixed with the new beta app.
iOS 2.6.50, Android 2.6.33.
The new RTSP firmware requires some extra time to test and stabilize. I will post it here when it is ready.
Thank you all for your patience.
@ArthurH I can confirm for iOS that 2.6.50 has fixed the issue and now I can see my feeds that are running RTSP beta. Thank you so much for getting this handled.
Thank you for the update.
I am 100% all for the extra time to test and stabilize the firmware, now that we have a working beta app!
@chris_g1 - You keep taking the words out of my mouth.
@ArthurH - Thanks again for the fix. More than happy to wait for an update of firmware that wasnāt expected in the first place; another pleasant surprise from Wyze.
Got the Android 2.6.33 app update last night, and am now able to authenticate through it to all 3 of my v2 cameras running RTSP firmware 4.19.4.48. Looking forward to the next release of RTSP firmware, but as a veteran IT sysadmin have enough experience to know that when a dev says something ārequires extra time to test and stabilizeā, itās best to give them all the time they ask for. Be sure to tell the guys back in the shop that we appreciate their efforts.
Iām on the beta app (2.6.55) and am seeing issues when attempting to connect to the RTSP firmware (4.28.4.41). The app eventually shows a connection failed screen after 3 attempts. The issue seems intermittent as I do sometime see success when I initiate a retry from the failure screen.
