As @Crease has mentioned, I am running my outdoor cameras via a PoE setup. Obviously, I only use it for power. I opted to use a PoE Switch which outputs more power than a standard brick. It has worked flawlessly for year. I even have 2 cameras running off of one feed / Ethernet cable.
