Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for Wyze Web Account

No, you have to do it on your Wyze App on your phone or mobile device.

Go to Account>Security>Two Factor Authenitcation

But look at the post just above mine … from the Wyze Team: “You can now add 2FA to your Wyze Web Account.”

Once you setup the 2FA it will be used on the Website as well. You have to do it via the App

Seems backwards - for most apps that allow using an authenticator app as either a primary or backup 2fa method, the setup is on the website so the user can easily scan the QR code with the mobile cam to add it to their mobile app. So if we have to use our mobile app, then how do we scan a QR code that is generated on the same mobile app? Does it offer the the QR code on the web after the primary setup on the app?

I will setup my second accunt and let you know what I do. I seem to recall you could copy the code and enter it, or do it from another device and scan the code. I have the Authenticator on a couple of devices in the event something happens to my primary device.

However, will fill you in later today.

Same here. I have both google and MS authenticator on both iPhone and iPad and still on my old iPhone. When I used to get the QR code to scan, I would grab both devices and both apps. They both have improved cloud backup. So it’s easier now to just create the entries on one device then restore the backup on the others.

Anyway, any success on using the QR code or is it all manual?
