TP-LINK TL-WR802N 802.11n Ethernet Wireless Nano Pocket Router 300mbps

Could this device strengthen my v2 base station signal strength? I’m using an Eero Pro 6 router. I’m only getting one bar. I want to increase that. If it would work, what other items would I need to purchase? A short piece of ethernet? Thanks.

I do not think this is the correct product for that purpose. I can’t figure out exactly what it is, but it seems that is can act as a typical WiFi extender, creating a new network that is just piggybacked off of your main network, or it can act as a hotspot.

Since you already have a mesh network you will be much much better off just buying another node for your Eero network.

Using range extenders like this one is not a good idea because it doesn’t properly integrate with your main network, and it ends up causing interference and slowing down everything.

Thanks. I’ve read that an Apple Airport Express can work, but you think I would have the same issue, it gumming up my “works?”

Yea, anything other than an additional eero node is going to be not ideal. An eero node may be more expensive, but it will be worth it in the long run because every extender and other routers you install adds complication to your network, additional bottlenecks, and makes troubleshooting so much more difficult. Simplicity is better, and mesh systems are the future.
