This reminds me of a funny video I saw todayā¦someone parked a $20M super car in a tow zone, so cops called to have it towed, and bystanders were laughing telling them that they DARE the cops to have it towed because there is no way any towing company is insured for that much and theyād all refuse to touch it, and thatās exactly what happenedā¦the towing company refused to even touch car, let alone tow it anywhere.
After that, and learning the risk, the cops were even scared to put a ticket under the windshield wipers, thinking the windshield wipers alone were more than their entire salary. In the end it basically meant that car was fairly safe (from the governmentā¦not necessarily vandals) to park wherever it wanted because nobody would risk damaging or getting sued to enforce the parking laws, and the driver has so much money that they couldnāt care less about a parking ticket, it was basically like a workaround for paying for VIP parking anywhere anytime and just consider it a cheep parking fee that would be like us paying a couple pennies to park anywhere anytime by comparison.
Kind of an interesting thing I hadnāt thought much about, but I wouldnāt touch the $20M super-car either!
Where have all the true men gone?
We live in a clown world.
Men have become weak and scared.
In a case like thisā¦probably thinking they care more about continuing to provide for their familyās financial needs and being there for them than they do about a frivolous little 2 to 3 digit dollar parking ticket or tow that isnāt even at the level of a misdemeanor offense and wasnāt really negatively impacting anyone At least for me, I have learned through long hard life lessons that part of being a true man is having priorities that ensure I am there for my family and not negatively impacting their lives unfairlyā¦and in a similar situation I might also conclude that the risk of being sued for Millions I donāt have for something totally frivolous may not outweigh my huge manly responsibilities I have to my wife and kids as the first priority.
Might be another matter if the issue was actually part of the criminal statutesā¦but probably not for a victimless infraction.
Not saying that is all the case or their reasons for doing it. I am just posing a potential thought experiment where such a thing can have the perspective of being truly manly. It is hard to judge without having all the information or seeing their thoughts and knowing their motives. But I can think of examples where I could support such a conclusion. Itās not necessarily always about weak and scared, but can sometimes be about choosing something different out of loyalty and higher priorities despite the instincts and urges to do otherwise.
However, you are also correct that in some cases it can amount to people choosing things for disappointing reasons.
I think I would have done my job.
My Dad broke someoneās car windows and ran a firehose through the front windows to get to the fire hydrant the car parked in front of. Of course, he was a fireman trying to put out a fire in an emergency situation.
At least put one of those orange stickers on the driverās window.
People are so inconsiderate of others. People with money have no excuse.
George Carlin was right years ago when he said we are witnessing the ification of America.
It could be me. I was raised to be a man. I am old-school and a dinosaur in this progressive world.
Life goes on. I adapt, I complain.
I miss the old fart. He was more than a comedian.
Interesting news for George Carlin fans if you have not seen this.
Probably happens in NYC every week, or more.
Serves them right
How low can some people go
Thanks for sharing!
Iāve seen people actually make covers like this to make their Wyze cams blend in better.
That is a great idea.
Wyze Robot Vacuum Supreme (RVS v1)
Does upstairs, downstairs, basement and garage in one programable session. Could even schedule in the house next door if neighbor has a Wyze doorlock.
Coming soon: Lawn mower accessory for yard cleanup.
This is what Iād really like to see, a robot vacuum that actually does the stairs. I have fantasies about Boston Dynamics Spot with a vacuum attachment for (or in place of) Spot Arm, but that seems like overkill. I imagine a robot that can navigate and vacuum stairs would clean up (pun intended) in the marketplace.
Iād love to have one as a pet. It would be a fun stroll around the block. I am sure it can play fetch real well. Are they allowed in dog parks?
This is actually kinda genius: A āpetā that vacuums and cleans up after the other pets. It doesnāt leave its own fur/hair around but takes care of that left by others. Iām on board.
Is Thermonator? That might be a more entertaining āpetā, especially for āFlorida Manā after a few margaritas.
The dog would have to check-in its gun at the gate. No weapons allowed. Wonder what other dogs would think?
