Once again my Smart Detection Events records but tags it as a motion event. I have Smart Detections set for Person, Pet and Vehicles, so it shouldn’t be recording motion events if it can’t tag it. I stopped using All Events because it’s been windy and I would get 200+ recordings from tree branches and their shadows. Is the AI ever going to be fixed?!
I’m also now getting “Vehicle” events for a parked car, when the real event triggers are persons.
If there is a parked vehicle in the frame, Wyze says that is normal. However, it’s supposed to also tag the person. I have found that the AI seems to only tag parked vehicles correctly most of the time. For me it often won’t tag pets and only the people walking them.
Wyze claims their AI is learning yet it’s been years and I don’t see any improvements.
That’s exactly my point; it should also tag the event as “person”; which was the way it used to work.
Someone at Wyze must be reading these posts; now I’m getting both “vehicle” and another smart object (person/pet) detection for the same parked car. Did someone roll back working code?
Doubtful Wyze did anything.
