Fruit trees in the background?

I get skunks through my yard pretty regularly.
Currently there is also a litter of feral kittens in the neighborhood. I think there are four kittens about three months old.

Here is the first skunk my Wyze v3 cameras have captured in 3 years of use.

LEAVE IT ALONE.

We had several skunks visit over the years, living next to a bean field and deep woods. My dog usually has to do her business in the wee (no pun intended) hours. Once a skunk was in the backyard and couldn’t get out fast enough to escape my chihuahua. They went nose to nose then the skunk turned around and sprayed my pup in the face. It was 20F outside, and the garden hoses had been put away for the winter. After about 5 baths over as many days, we could still smell Pepe. The house reeked for a week or more. For a few days my pup was so traumatized by the meet and spray that she walked around like an AT-AT. Now when my wife lets the dog out, she first scans the back yard with a flashlight.
And the tomato sauce trick to remove the skunk odor is hooey. All it does is mask the odor. Vinegar works best. Not in the eyes.

I have a :skunk: visitor on the West side of my house about once a week, maybe eating the fallen fruit?
He hasn’t visited the Weeds & Water establishment since last month.

Will do. I already have treated lumber blocking the gaps under my backyard fence. Mainly to keep rabbits away from my garden. Hopefully, blocking the gaps will keep skunks out too.
