Security protocols

Can someone explain the type and level of security my Wyze cameras have. ( I have pan cameras outside). I’m particularly concerned if someone can hack into the feeds.

Anything connected to a network can be hacked. If you take reasonable precautions then it becomes very unlikely.

  • Use a strong password.
  • Use a password that is not used elsewhere.
  • Use 2FA on the account, preferably the version using an authenticator app.

Since the cameras are connected to your network you also have to be certain your WiFi router is also secured and you are using a strong WiFi password.

If you do that then you are reasonably protected. Just recall an oft used phrase in the network security field. “Anything man can devise, man can circumvent.”
