I would have recommended using conduit on the wiring. Too exposed and accessible and subject to being easily cut/vandalized. I have siding and use flat cables thru windows to inside outlets for power. A couple fully outside have cables tucked underneath siding and channeled down end caps to gfci’s outlets in the weatherproof box covers. I have never had a need for use of the outside adapters with my installations. I also recommend the use of a 90⁰ usb connector for the power adapter inside the weatherproof box. FYI: The 2nd outlet is wired thru the main gfci for gfci control. Easy diy installs and testing. Probably could have more easily installed gfci breakers but they are not dedicated to the outside outlets.
