Vaccum just don’t want to charge, it just automatically turn around when putting on charging, they’re is no way other than putting it upside down to charge. Software is updated. I did a factory reset 2 times but no luck. When turned on for vaccum it starts rotating 4 times higher than normal speed, scaring me. It don’t vaccum anymore and just rotate at the same place and try to climb anything which comes on its way. Wyze support offered $50 refund but they can not fix it, Uploading low quality video because of size restrictions.
Welcome back, Rakesh
It appears to me that one of the drive wheels might not be rotating. Try turning it over and see if you can rotate both wheels by hand. You are working against a geartrain inside the wheel housing, so it might take a bit of effort. Both wheels should have the same resistance.
Replacement wheels are available on AliExpress.
Mods- let me know if this link has issues.
I did checked the wheels, both the wheels are in good share and has the same resistance and moving as expected. It just dont work when its running. And the way it hits the walls is scary. I did all whatever the online support told me during the online chat, like reinstall the app, update firmware, remap, factory reset, re adding the device, but no luck. They should just send the replacement and keep the device for their study and learning to fix this issue.
Vacuum needs an Exorcist.
It is possible that one drive wheel is faulty. As a (now retired) auto mechanic, I never shot the parts cannon at a job. A loose connection is also a possibility, although remote.
If you are mechanically inclined, you could take the vacuum apart and check if anything looks amiss. The wheels aren’t expensive, but if that does not correct the issue, then you have the additional expense of wheels you didn’t need.
Someone found a broken wire on their robot. Probably from the frequent up/down movement of the wheel.
Thank you for posting it, I opened it but was not able to figure out about how to remove the wheels except removing springs. I did not remove the mother board and did not find any loose wire or connection. I assambled everything back after cleaning all the parts, but it still has the same issue. It circles around at one place, can’t do a mapping and cleaning. I’ll try removing mother board to check if any loose wire. Plz reply if you know how to remove wheels.
Try testing the wheels off the ground. I should have mentioned the test I did…
Check that the lidar is functioning correctly while you are at it, the above thread goes into that also.
You are on your own from here on out. I haven’t taken Sharon apart that far. I can recommend to take lots of photos.
Spent a few minutes looking on YouTube for any disassembly video for the Wyze and Xiaomi robot vacs but couldn’t find anything.
I did find this guide that might help.
I was able to fix it and now it’s working smoothly like a new vacuum. I contacted the support and they said it was out of warranty. So decided to diagnose the issue on my own. I removed all the parts and found that 2 small thin wires were broken from the wheel which was causing the issue. It was not an easy fix, but I managed to solder the wires back into the sockets from where those came out. Assembled it and it worked even better than earlier. I am able to add the new floor and able to vacuum the carpet which I was not able to do before. Hope it will stay in this state, anyways I now know how to repair it so…
