Long time Wyze user, first time poster. I held out on the major app update released a while back until this week. I enjoy the new home “base” screen showing me live view of my “favorites”.
I am experiencing one problem, however. When I get a push notification on IOS, I can click that, watch the captured event video, but when I click BACK, it will only go to another captured event video. This process repeats upwards of 6-8 times before it will finally get me back to the home screen. There are no other options within those videos to return to “home” other than the < back button.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any known fixes?
Welcome to the forum @bhand08!
I am not seeing this issue at the moment. What version of the Wyze App are you on specifically?
I have the same issue.
iPhone IOS 18.1.1
Wyze app 3.2.7.1
it’s really annoying.
Thank you! I finally captured a video of it. I’m on 3.2.7 (1). iOS 18.1.1 iphone 14.
I am having the same issue. Wyze app version 3.2.7(1). I posted this in another thread as well.
I receive Wyze push notifications for events. If I tap on a push notification, I am taken to that event recording. Perfect.
But if I open the Wyze app directly, I am still taken to an event recording. I don’t want to be taken to an event when I open the app directly, I want to be taken to the homepage.
Secondarily, when I open the app and am taken to an event, it now makes me to back, back, back through several previous events before I can get to the homescreen. This is very frustrating.
So, ideally:
- Opening the app directly would always take you to the homescreen.
- When you are viewing an event recording, you shouldn’t have to page back through previous event recordings to get back to the homescreen.
This has been driving my absolutely nuts. Someone please help!
It sounds to me that you are not force closing the app that’s why when you open it it takes you to the last view you had. Make sure you swipe up on the app window so it totally quits.
That’s not the problem. I always force quit the app out of habit when I’m done with it. This happens whether the app is in the background or not.
I don’t know what else to tell you. I am on iOS 18.2 and iOS 16.7.10 on an iPhone and iPad with app 3.2.6 and beta 3.3.0 and I don’t see that behaviour
lol- Just because you don’t experience it, doesn’t mean it should be dismissed. If you search this topic you’ll find there are multiple users that experience this, myself included.
I never said that it should be dismissed, just trying to help.
I am experiencing the exact same issue. I am so fed up with this company and their utter disaster of v3x of this app. They need to hire some new software programmers that actually know what they doing. The entire v3x release has been the most ill conceived and pathetically executed releases I have ever been tortured with on any iOS app ever. It’s been one serious problem after another from its original release about four months ago and continues through the most current. Give us a way to download v2 for apple users until you get a solid working version of v3 which at this pace will be 10 years from now.
