Periodically, something causes devices to go offline. I have them at three different locations, separated by hundreds or thousands of miles. Am I correct in believing that sharing devices does not allow the person with whom I share them to restart or reset or delete and reinstall them?
Example: my cameras went offline when there was a power outage. I also have a Sense hub and sensors at that location. The hub and sensors came back on line, but the cameras did not. Device info shows WiFi signal strength as high. In SETTINGS, pressing RESTART results in “Failed”. RESETTING SERVICES does nothing to solve the problem. Since I am 250 miles away I cannot do the troubleshooting steps of power cycling the camera. (I have a rebooter connected to that camera and it too is offline.)
I recognize that the sensors go thru the Sense Hub and the cameras do not. But obviously the internet is up because the sensors are working.
The way I solved the issue at my remote property is I plugged my cameras into smart plugs, non Wyze for obvious reason. This allows me to remotely kill and restore the power on my cameras.
@habib thank you. What smart plugs are you using? I have one Wyze smart plug that loses connection periodically and requires me to be there to get it back.
Does power cycling your camera that shows OFFLINE to be brought back remotely?
I chose Kasa as I didn’t want both camera and plug on the same echo system.
Every time when the cameras are stubborn and refuse to connect, power cycling them from the plug brings them back on line. Haven’t had the need to do that in a long time. I used to do it when I had WiFi/ISP issues. Solved that problem by changing ISP and router. I use my own router and have the ISP’s gateway in a dumb mode acting as a modem only.

It’s been suggested that I attach the cameras to non-Wyze smart plugs that I can power them off/on remotely. But my experience has been I still have to go through a DELETE DEVICE - ADD DEVICE - PRESS RESET - I HEARD READY TO CONNECT - ADD NETWORK - SCAN QR CODE procedure with other offline cameras.
Is there a solution to my problem?

From personal experience it is always signal issue. Either WiFi instability or upload speed dropping below what the cameras need to communicate with Wyze servers.
That would be correct.
How are you able to see this if the cameras are off line?
I can see this on my app. (Guess I cannot show a screenshot, but it shows a dark image with a cloud through which a line is drawn and the words “Device Offline.”)
