Record to MicroSD card

I have an android phone.
I have 5 cameras V3 all with new microsd cards installed. I opened each camera to check to make sure they record to SD and I toggle it on and leave the settings. When i come back into the settings the record to SD is off again. This is happening to all the cameras. Each card was formatted in the camera, and restarted the cameras. Firmware is up to date and i chose Events only. I put the cards in because it would not continue recording even when someone was moving. I also have Cam Plus .
Any ideas whats causing this?

I don’t see a mention of which Wyze app version you’re using. Some recent updates have been reported not to save/display a user’s selected settings, but I tend to hang a few updates behind and so haven’t yet experienced this.

One thing I’d probably try while waiting for more information and/or another update to (hopefully) fix the issue is refreshing the profile data on your device.

This is how I would get a clean copy of my account profile/settings on Android (click/tap to expand):
  1. Clear the in-app cache: From the Wyze app’s home screen, navigate to Account ➜ App Settings ➜ Cache File Size ➜ Clear.
  2. Navigate back one screen to Account and tap Log Out at the bottom.
  3. Swipe the Wyze app out of the running Android apps.
  4. Long-press on the Wyze app’s launcher icon (on the phone’s home screen or wherever you tap to initially open the app) and then tap App info in the pop-up menu.
  5. Tap Force stop on the App info screen (may need to tap OK to confirm) and then tap Storage & cache.
  6. Tap Clear cache and Clear storage on the Storage screen.
  7. Back up one screen (back to App info) and then tap Open and proceed to log back into your Wyze account/app. (Optionally reboot the phone at this step for good measure and then launch the Wyze app after the fresh boot instead of relaunching it immediately from this screen.)

Note: I don’t know what the options would be for modifying these steps on iOS since I don’t use that platform.

Do you see events being recorded at all if you navigate to the app’s Events tab and/or a camera’s microSD recording timeline?

How’s your connection to the cameras? Able to live stream ok? When toggling on the record to microSD card setting, stay on the menu for a few moments before you back out.
