Recent change in notifications

Out of almost 50 operational Wyze cameras, I have notifications enabled on exactly one. That is a V2 in the back of my mailbox. That way I get notifications when the mail is delivered. A few days ago I stopped getting the mailbox notifications. Spent a while troubleshooting that this morning and found the answer. On the Device Notifications settings, the “Other motion events” was grayed out and could not be enabled. Then I looked at the Event Recording settings about found that “Record motion events” was set to "Smart detection events. When I changed it to “All motion Events”, I was then able to select “Other motion events” on the Notifications settings.

I will fully admit that I don’t remember how it was set previously, but it WAS working until a few days ago, and I did not change anything. The only thing changed recently was my app version changed. All of my cameras are on CamPlus Unlimited.

After making the above change, I walked outside and opened the mailbox, and sure enough, I received the notification on both phones.

Android app: v2.50.0 (b415)
iOS app: v2.50.0 (6)
v2 camera firmware: 4.9.9.3006

And in case anyone is wondering this is the view from the camera.

Is that a Beta app ?
I have iOS 2.49 and if I change my settings to all motion events then go to notification the other motion events is turned on and there is a check in the green box. I have notifications off 98% of the time.

Yes, that is the beta that came out few days ago that has had a few entertaining results - mostly related to web view.

I hope it has a fix for my new V3 that won’t playback the SD recording from the events page.
