Had this issue with both the 1st gen Floodlight camera. After a good rain it seems water/moisture gets inside the housing causing issues with the lights staying on. I have since replaced those 2 lights with the Floodlight Pro and now 1 of my Pro is having the same issue. It was working fine since Ive got it and went through a few storms too. Thought Wyze fixed this issue with the Pro, but now one of my Pro’s Floodlight stays on and doesn’t turn off. Daytime/night-time no difference. Went through the settings amd checked everything. Even turned off motion detection and all that good stuff. So much for being an outdoor camera.
Took the light down and opened it up. There was moisture inside the circuit housing. The PCB appears to have a coating so technically it should be water resistant, but nope. Blew out the moisture, took a heat gun at low temps to help evaporate any condensation left over. Greased the seals and put back on the cover. Mounted the floodlight back up on the roof eve. Problem fixed, but it rained again soon after and now the same problem is back. Either its the internal PCB getting wet of faulty led lights. Makes me want to rip out the floodlight and chunk it across the yard lol
What sucks is I do love the Wyze products, but I’m always getting problems with their higher end stuff. The original cams was more reliable, but the Floodlight Pro has been giving me the most issues with connectivity issues, lagging stream, random disconnects, and recordings not saving. While these problem did get fixed over time, it still takes a while and frustrating when they don’t work.
