Maybe not. But you’d be a hell of a lot more fun than what’s here. I’m not here by choice. My mother is 93. I moved back from New Mexico to be here with her. And when she goes, may that day never come, I will go someplace much more rural. I have put up with it for a long time for my family. But it’s not my first choice.
Awww… that’s great! You don’t get a 2nd chance.
I initially moved to this area (Arlington) when I got stationed at the Pentagon. I loved all the nearby variety of ethnic food and events but hated the traffic, angry people trying to rush through traffic, noise and taxes. When I received a property tax bill for my CANOE, that was the last straw and I moved.
Sounds like a California idea. Luckily I only have to pay 50% of my property tax since I got my 100% VA rating, of course I had to do the paperwork and ask for it.
I moved South where I get a 100% senior exemption on property taxes (land, dwelling, vehicle).
I only get 100% off for one vehicle and pay Zero $ for tolls. That savings goes into the Marshmallow fund.
They’re still trying to charge me property tax for a car that I have not owned since 2019. I fully agree with you.
