I asked Gemini to create the image of a texas-size dump truck with 1 texas-size rock in the bed. Then, I asked for a few adjustments, such as, adding police lights :oncoming_police_car: to the truck. When the image was good, I switched to Gemini Veo (free for 30 days) video creation software, and, asked it to “dump the rock to the ground”.

This is a current form of entertainment. It is funny to me to grab a pic of someones’ house, then ask gemini to grow their grass out for 2 years, then ask them if their lawn mower broke down?

How ‘bout them Cowboys. I asked my AI to create video of my Cowboys with a 90 yard touchdown run, and, this is what it produced…

Do the mash.

I was working in the lab, late one night
When my eyes beheld an eerie sight
For my monster from his slab, began to rise
And suddenly to my surprise

He did the mash, he did the monster mash
The monster mash, it was a graveyard smash
He did the mash, it caught on in a flash
He did the mash, he did the monster mash

It’s partially funny that they used anthropic to do this since it is supposed to be founded primarily on ethical rules of conduct and in theory should refuse to do unethical things.

But of course, Asimov taught us that there are always loopholes to the laws of robotics.

…Anthropic maintains that the same AI tools used for hacking can also strengthen cyber defense…

I checked with President Kennedy and can report with high confidence that he rejects this notion.

(He slumped in his chair.)

HAL 9000 is watching.

Frankenstein by Guillermo del Toro. A nice fable. A good ‘making of’ as well, The Anatomy Lesson.

There is a difference between the physical and the digital. Particularly in something like the explosions on the lab. You’re seeing real bounces of the physcial battery falling and hitting the other. And the accidents that happen with a physical set blowing apart are gonna be ten times more complex than any decision a digital technician made.
