One more question lol: when you buy a Samsung direct from Samsung (unlocked) how much of the 64/128/256/512 storage capacity is already taken up by samsung undeletable apps and software?
Here is a couple of weird things you can do with GoodLock. You can tap the back of the phone for an action. Single tap, double, triple. Use also can set each finger to do something different when opening the phone.
I think only the hub can use the 5 band (I may be wrong). Choices are wifi or ethernet. The connectivity you get with LoRa is phenomenal. I just ran a cat 6 cable from the router to the hub and the hub is hidden behind the entertainment center. I would never do that with wifi. I have leak sensors under the washer, dryer, dishwasher, water heater, bathroom facilities refrigerator and the signal quality is maxed out on all the sensors.
I get it, and I know that the camera is a primary consideration for a lot of people, but the UI is my means to interact with the device all the time, so that’s my priority. The camera is a useful tool, but for me it’s like a third- or fourth-tier consideration.
This is also excellent! Thanks!
What the what‽ I had no idea this was possible, and I’m trying to imagine a use case for this. Maybe differentiating launcher icons when using different shortcuts or when you have more than one instance of an app?
I can do that on a Pixel 6 running stock Android 15 with Quick Tap. Right now it’s configured to toggle the flashlight. On my moto g⁷ and Android 10, I can toggle the flashlight with “two chopping motions”, but that’s via Moto Actions in the Moto app.
I forget which Samsung model it was that would call the person you’re texting with, if you lifted the phone to your ear. It can be disabled but Samsung made it the default factory setting.
I always use a wallet phone case as it protects the screen if I happen to put both my car keys and the phone in my pocket. I didn’t know this Samsung feature until one day someone asked me why I kept calling and not answer when she picked up the phone. Closing the case made it look like I was placing the phone over my ear.
I also normally disable the ring because I invariably forget and the phone rings in the middle of an office meeting.
