Finally did what?

The frog thinks you “flew the coup” (quit using the forum) since you have not been posting for a while. Did the fires and smoke run you out of town?

No, I’m still around, just have nothing smart to say

The fires and smoke did run me out of town, I’ve been spending most of my time at the cottage, the air is much cleaner there. I haven’t seen the usual gang of racoons this year. I wonder what happened to them. There was a gang of six that every night would get on my deck and venture under the barbecue looking for scraps. I do scrub it thorough after each use, so they’ve must realized no food for them around.

I hope this post is smart enough

@habib! Good to see you. Glad you’ve got that cool cottage to repair to. It serves you well.

Roaches are wildlife of a sort, so on-topic.

A friend who lives in the mountains said, ‘There are no roaches in our house.’ I said, ‘You can’t prove a negative,’ thinking I was so smart.

Turns out it’s complicated if you want to get technical about it. Which most don’t.

What I meant is: It is not practical to prove there are no roaches in your house. You, and most others, will accept the absence of evidence as evidence of absence.

But he was drunk and I wasn’t so we laughingly argued for a while then let it drop.

Moral:

There is no evidence that Pepe has roaches in his fur but that doesn’t prove there isn’t one hiding at the base of the tail on his back. Who’d risk the consequences to find out? :nose::laughing:

He was doing a :fire: :fire: :fire_extinguisher: :fire_extinguisher: Inspection, make sure you pay up.

I replaced a V3 with an OG at the side window just as a test of the new camera. My OGT is mounted there too. So far I like the V3 better for color brightness and sound capture. Both the OG and OGT have issues switching automatically between normal and night vision modes. I’ll stick with both of them for a while longer to see if updates cure any of the ills.

70 years without a claim. We must be a masochist.

When Allstate was busted by CA Dept Ins for overcharging for a decade their punishment was to begin charging the correct rate - no payback required. They had threatened to continue overcharging and tie up the issue in the courts if Dept Ins pushed for payback. So it didn’t.

When I groused to our long-time agent, I was advised that we should be grateful to Allstate for insuring in CA at all - they didn’t want to and were issuing no new policies.

The Good Hands People.

Watch your pockets.

Thanks, KayTel. Are the OG’s enhanced app features a draw?

State Farm will not sell any new home insurance in California either.

Luckily I just renewed my Homeowners Insurance with Farmers. Always nervous each year if they are renewing my Home policy.

Living in the El Dorado National Forest is not easily insured these days, Made it another year

Maybe Mr. and Mrs. Smelly :skunk: :skunk: will find a way to change that.

Hi there red eyes and why the water bowls are full of mud in the morning.

Ratso the IV on the deck. Three different cats came in the backyard and they can’t be bothered to catch one rat? At least the possum chased it under the deck.
