PanCam on my Roof - MOUNT?

Hi - My house has a standard pitched roof - but at the top it is flat - I believe it is called a MANSARD roof - so, I have a flat portion and I am thinking about putting a WYZE PAN-CAM v3 on a tripod mount on the flat portion of the roof. I think this would be neat to see the entirety of my property. I have seen antenna mounts for roofs that use cinder blocks for weight that are temporary mounts - has anyone tried or know of any mounts for outside for the Wyze PanCam?

I can and might just weld something together from angle-iron.

Does anyone have any pictures of existing non-penetrating roof mounts?

Thanks,
PAT.

I don’t have any experience with this, but that seems like a cool idea. I’m imagining a sort of fully panoramic view, and I haven’t seen anyone do that with a Cam Pan v3 before. I’m eager to learn what other Forum participants suggest.

Maybe a tripod-type mount that can extend further up above the roof?

Just be prepared to climb on the roof to reconnect the camera when: your power fails, your internet fails, Wyze servers fail, Amazon servers fail, etc. etc. etc.

Heh. This does definitely seem like a candidate use case where someone would want to include a smart plug (for easy power cycling) in the initial installation plan.

Not sure where the OP lives, but won’t snow cover the camera in winter?

So maybe the installation needs provisions for a snow blower duct or mount the camera itself on a base that’s capable of rapidly spinning faster than the camera can turn in order to just fling the snow out and away in a dizzying 360° arc!

Maybe move further south?

Or mount it on a pole higher than snow accumulates
