I’ve a bunch of the pan V3’s, and bought ~4 last year.
One of my setups is at a metal shed (I call it my Faraday cage) ~100 yards from my wireless router. I can barely get a signal there to use my phone on the outside, no signal at all on the inside. For years I’ve been running wirelees down there off a “hotspot”, a portable wireless ZTE Mobley powered by a portable battery outside the Faraday cage
Last week I set up a v3 there.
Worked fine on the Mobley. When the battery was drained and the Mobley was not running
no connection, as expected.
A few days later I set up a v3 Pan. I initiated it in my house, next to my main router, did the updates (3 or 4) then took it down to the shed and paired it with the Mobley. Worked fine.
So I ran the both for bit. Then I noticed the v3 was not connecting, but the v3 pan was still sending signal.
So today I did not set up the Mobley, just put the camera outside. To my surprise it established connection fine and is showing 2 of 3 bars connected to my home router.
Works GREAT.
Did they change the antenna?
Or did I just get a fluke?

Don’t have an answer, but great to hear.
I have seen some FW updates with the following information: “Wyze Cam v3 Pro improves the live stream connection”
Have not found one for the Pan V3, but thought there was

I don’t have an answer, either, but I enjoyed reading this. I know that connectivity for my oldest Cam Pan v3 has improved over time with firmware updates (and Wyze has mentioned connectivity enhancements in the release notes for several updates over the past couple of years) but I don’t recall seeing anything specific about antenna hardware aside from Forum complaints that Cam Pan v3’s antenna is worse than Cam v3’s.
