Pan cam v4 horrible 😫 so regretting changing

I just got my pan cam v4 yesterday I was so excited till I installed them

1.to start off they keep disconnecting from the wifi all the time even doe my modem is 5ft away

2.i keep getting notifications of my car that has no motion at all so camera keeps focusing in a parked car that has no movement so keeps sending notifications about a parked car (I did lower motion detection to 3 and still dont help )
3.waypoint are not were i set them too its off like by afew Inches

4. I installed a SD card but nothing recorded on it even doe I reformatted it by the app while installed
this camera garbage i feel like sticking to pan camv3 instead of this nothing but headache

Return them while you can, Wyze needs to learn not to keep releasing cameras with issues and actually test the camera in house before release.

They always release cameras that are not fully ready then update after update.

And ever new update usually breaks something else.

Been this way for a long time. The AI that processes the images gets triggered by something, and it sees a car so it tags it as a car.

Did you turn on recording?

I have the same problem, There’s a parked car in my driveway for hours, I have motion tagging turned on. There’s a constant green box on the car, even though it’s not moving. And I keep getting events for that car.

Maybe the revenue from the initial release is used to hire the next (update) team?

Great business model

This reminds me of the Sonos app v2 fiasco. Force a product to market before it’s ready and destroy your reputation and lose your customer base. I already threw away my boxes, but I’m ready to replace these cameras with something that works and just eat the cost.

You got it backwards; Wyze pioneered the concept.

Wyze’s reputation is “We will fix it in the next update(s)”

I have a section in my shed that is dedicated to empty boxes of anything I buy. I keep them flattened and throw them away when the warranty expires.

You should’ve asked :winking_face_with_tongue:

Yes for 24/7 recording
