It is possible to use the Lamp Socket to power the OG. However, you cannot use the OG to control the socket.
The current Wyze Lamp Socket is an accessory to the Cam V3 and only the V3. This is because the V3 is the only cam with the firmware to operate the Lamp Socket. All other cams, including the OG Cams, are incompatible with the Lamp Socket controls.
The recommended outdoor power source for the OG Cams is the Outdoor Power Adapter.
If a bulb socket is the most convenient source of power, there are other ways to adapt the socket to provide the necessary power output for the OG and other cams.
