So I’ve got 2 outdoor cams and the standard range on them was good but I needed a little more. I’ve got about 2 acres and wanted to put the cameras more into the woods to capture wildlife. I ended up purchasing these antennas off Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R21LN5P?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details).
Taking the old antennas off the base station was a PITA but not impossible. I tried to mount these new Antennas in the same location but because they were a little bigger, they didn’t fit, so I had to mount them on the sides of the case.
I’d say range was extended by maybe 50ft or so but I haven’t done any real testing. I am able to mount the cameras further away then they were originally located. If you’d like more details on what I did, let me know.
