Understanding that the move to cloud services was essential for WYZE to survive.
Please consider a community version of the on-device software for on-premise integration.
There are many thousands of WYZE fans that would appreciate it if WYZE empowers us to be creative. Give us a meaningful option for on-premise privacy and agency.
As far as the financial model, Maybe the community license could be purchased at an annual bases for updates. Ex. $60 to update x# of devices to latest community firmware. The only time a license check would be required is when updating.

Open source
Has WYZE thought about opening its development to the open source community? Seems you guys are struggling to get various integrations done, likely due to the small size of the company. If it were opened up to a community development it could happen faster, and you could concentrate on making the best hardware you can. My guess is at least at first you would not be able to keep up with the demand, as the community seems to love open source hardware.

I 100% agree with this. I would love to help develop for your hardware, especially the robot vacuum. I have seen so many problems with other robot vacuums that could easily be fixed by posting the software and firmware on github. You could have the equipment that dare I say, takes over the world!
with a little help from the open source community and problems could be handled way faster than just by in house. Keep in mind, you can have an official fork that you could have complete control over as well.
Wyze, please consider this, I think that it would be a significant help to you.
Thanx!
