One group of light not working with Google home

The last 2 days our kitchen group of lights aren’t responding with home.

When we say “hey Google, turn on/off the kitchen” only 1 of 5 lights will respond. And instead of saying five lights on it is just saying kitchen sink light on" so for some reason it’s only choosing one of the five lights to turn on or off. The groups are all still active and are in Google Home app. But it’s just not responding and saying hey Google.

Any thoughts?

I had a similar issue recently (also within the past few days) with Google Home, and this is what I did:

  1. Power-cycled the bulbs. In my case, it was 5 Bulb Colors that weren’t responding when I would talk to the nearby Google Home Hub.
  2. Re-linked my Wyze account to Google Home: In the Google Home app, I selected  Settings ➜ Works with Google ➜ Wyze Home ➜ Reconnect Account and then went through the login dance.
  3. Rebooted the Home Hub.

In my case, I have a Google Home Hub (Gen 1) in the kitchen and 6 Wyze Bulbs (5 Bulb Colors in one lamp and a BR30 in a recessed ceiling fixture) in the living room, but when I would navigate on the Hub’s touch screen to Home control it wasn’t showing me the 5 regular Bulb Colors, only the single BR30. It’s like the other Wyze Bulbs didn’t even exist in the home, even though I could see them in the Google Home app on my phone. After I went through the above steps, Home control on the Hub showed the other 5 Bulbs again, and I’ve been able to control them with Google Assistant voice commands since.

I don’t know what caused it. It’s possible that Wyze and/or Google has done something on the server side recently that resulted in a temporary glitch, but we also had a weather-related power outage here that could’ve caused some problems with resets.

I hope this helps!
