Older person needs to reinstall a camera

My partner pulled the plug out of the socket, I have a V2 cam I believe. I can’t remember how to make it work. I plugged it into the socket and pressed the set up thingy on the bottom of the camera. All I get is “ready for set up” from the camera. I can’t remember what to do next. can someone help in easy lay terms or direct me to set up instructions please? Thanks. I have an iphone 7.

First off, you shouldn’t of had to reset the camera just because it was unplugged. It should have just worked after it was plugged back in and restarted. Secondly, you need to do the setup via the Wyze app on your phone. Once you open the app it will tell you in an easy to follow step by step process what to do.

Opening the app won’t start the process to get the camera working. Within the app is + sign in the upper left corner of the Home screen. That gets you to the add device choice. Select that and then the V2 camera and follow the instructions from there. It will prompt you to press the setup button, select the correct wifi network and generate a QR code for the camera to scan. Once that process is complete your camera should be working again.

now…on to my next problem… I see the green lines indicating some sort of motion at night, but when I try to play it back I get a message saying no video at this time,
I have had the camera for almost 2 years and never change anything and niw al of a sudden al sorts of problems…this is just one. Help? please

Do you have a SD card in the camera? I am guessing you are seeing that message after clicking “playback”? Do you have your micro SD card recording settings set to events only or continuous?

If you are live streaming the camera, click on the gear in the upper right, then advanced settings, then micro SD card storage, what does the app tell you about the SD card? What does it say as far as used and free storage? Does it list any numbers? My first thought of what happened here is that maybe your micro SD card went bad after the 2 years of write and overwrite cycles. This is assuming you have an SD card in the camera.

Thank you for replying.I thought I had unsubscribed. The issue is solved.
I did have an sd card in, and I know how to format . I didn’t know that those card could go bad, so I will keep that in mind.
I only record event, but I find that some are not recording for some reason…like little bunnies running across the driveway, but a leaf blowing will set it off.
Anyway, thank you again and I will unsubscribe
