Notification Time is 2 hr 59m into future after traveling overseas

Using Pan 360 cam. After returning from a trip, my notification time is 2hr 59m into the future. Timestamps on the video are still correct. Tried to sync the time under settings> advance, no go. Attached photo shows the issue.

Hello there Teepo112,

Can you try the following:

  • Reinstall the Wyze app or the WyzeBeta app (depends on which one your using).

Let us know how it goes.

Kenner

Before you do - point the cameras at the lottery results for a future drawing and quickly post the winning numbers. Also, tell me how it all ends… The time-travel firmware update is awesome :flying_saucer:
But in all seriousness, just go to the cams advanced settings and tap “sync time”. Likely picked up a time server in another time zone and it hasn’t reset itself.

I don’t really see why this would be necessary. The app should realize the time zone and adjust accordingly. I’ve tried Setting IOS device to use Location While App is in use. That didn’t work.

Yes, tried that but that didn’t work. Also tried setting IOS device to use Location While App is in use, didn’t work either.

Well it seems necessary if the app isn’t working properly,

Please try to reinstall the Wyze app.

Let us know how it goes.

So reinstalling fixed it (duh). I was planning to do this, but come on Wyze fix your app. How hard can it be?

If you see the same problem again, and would like Wyze to be more aware of it, I would suggest submitting feedback (including logs) about it through the app.

Keep in mind that this forum is primarily a user to user community. If you don’t get a helpful reply here, please file a Support Request. Depending on the nature of the problem, rather than use the previous website link, it is helpful to submit an App Log and/or a Firmware Log.

Yes, thank you for the feedback! I did submit a support ticket but they didn’t respond.

Average response time is at about two weeks right now, unfortunately. They are working hard to improve that.

This is a growth stage company doing their best to handle massive volume. I have faith, particularly with their last round of funding that this will all work out. I was an early recipient of SmartThings and SimpliSafe (and many Others) and they all have the exact, more or less, issues at this early stage. For value received I have zero complaints and when issues come up, I deal with them - it’s an early stage product. The issues seem to be more prevalent with the sense stuff - I have 7 wyze cams and really haven’t had many issues at all. The contact I’ve had with Wyze has been professional even it took a little longer to respond than I would have liked. I’d bet money that a year from now, they’ll be running a best in class cs operation. I love my cams. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
