Not an easy solution. They would have to open more production lines as well as redefine the hardware. When manufacturing itâs always not that easy.
4K is written to SD cards all the time.
Streaming 4K only needs 12 Mb/s.
Iâm looking at cameras to cover my mumâs car which must sometimes be parked on the opposite side of the road and has been vandalised a few times. Due to the distance I want to cover, Iâm thinking a 4K camera would be more likely to capture enough identifying detail than 1080p. I think 15 FPS would still be adequate though. Of course this would be more expensive but that doesnât stop people buying the 1080p cameras if those are adequate for their needs.
Please create a 4k outdoor version using a sensor like Sonyâs IMX274LQC cmos sensor or similar. A quick Google search shows they have been down to $1-5 a piece for a while now. SD card support would have to be larger as well. You make it, Iâll buy a bunch. Thanks.
Should have a 4K capability with Alexa , google home , HomeKit , and iftt comparability
I would like to have 4k and POE, I can pass on the micro-USB and wireless. Itâs a lot more difficult to run 110/220 volt ac out to the cameras, but itâs much easier to run cat-5. Definitely support the higher capacity micro SD cards. I wouldnât mind paying another $50~$75 more for the features.
Add ultrawide view to v3 type camera that allows sd card usage
I would love to see the ultrawide view the doorbell pro offers on a v3 camera as it would be perfect for aurora recording, quite a few people in alaska and canada use v3 cams for aurora borealis viewing purposes
When i got my doorbell i set it on the spot on my porch where i have my v3,to see the view in ultrawide and it would capture so much more of the sky
Need a zoom lens in the worst way. The current cams are worthless for details like faces and license plates. Digitally zooming in causes pixelization. We need optical zoom.
I had an old V1 i put up in my Texas attic. Over the summer, it would hiccup so much that i unplugged it. As soon as the temps decreased, i plugged it back in⌠and it has worked flawlessly since.
CONCLUSION: ambient temps over 100 throws that cam off itsâ game.
4K! I canât believe nobody has this. All the videos are somewhat low definition, especially when trying to get a car plate. 4K would be a great improvement and worth an increase in price.
Hi Wyze I would be very willing to pay more if you could integrate 4K video into your cameras
Right on. I think itâs about time that Wyze should roll out a 4k camera. Itâs the mainstream now. They say 4K is a big breakthrough. It delivers a better-looking image, better color handling , saturation and whatnot. It got smoother edges and depth. So better video quality? As to 1080p, cropping or stabilizing the footage results in a scaled picture that is not as sharp as straight 1080p.
I got myself a Wyze Cam Pan last year. Canât say Iâm happy with everything. You just canât zoom in the videos and get a car plate or read the words on the wall or something like that. Need new blood! Wyze
Would be nice if we can have an option to stream at 4k quality.
Can I buy votes? I would vote for this one twice.
Wyze please make 4k resolution.
Under the 4k discussion, it would be cool if Wyze did something similar to what the Nest Cam IQ does âSupersightâ where it has 4k sensor video rendering combined with HDR intelligence which increases quality when zooming (12x Zoom) but still uploads a 1080p as to not kill your internet or storage.
Although 4K would be nice, 4K at 15fps would be horrible. They really need to get the cams up to 60FPS and use h.265 for the video compression. If they had their cams at 1080p 60FPS with h.265 you would really need 4k but would probably still want 4K.
I donât even need actual 4k saved/streamed - but if you had a 4k (or higher) CCD - you could âstreamâ at 360 or 720 or HD or whatever, but allow me to âoptical zoomâ - and blow up a smaller area so I could see in finer detail.
An option to monitor/record a region zoomed 4x (1080) for those donât have the network bandwidth to support 4K. I installed my cameras on the second floor looking out and I canât see the faces in my recording. I live on the second floor and cannot install the cameras on the first floor. I cannot install the cameras outside because I donât want to run wires to outside and donât want to change the camera batteries. Iâm only want a specific area monitored anyways. I have more view than I needed from installing the cameras on the second floor. I am willing compromise the view for a clearer view in a smaller monitored area/region.
