Received new update about 3 weeks ago…never installed it…can anyone tell me pros and cons of this update? I have 3 Pan Cam v3. Thanks
I’m not sure what update you mean, but based on timing I imagine it’s the app, because the last Cam Pan v3 firmware update was released in October 2024. Wyze tends not to post detailed release notes for app or firmware updates, but what they do post tends to appear in the Forum’s Wyze News category and a dedicated page in the Help Center:

What I do is make note of the App version or camera firmware version number I am considering updating to. I then search this Wyze forum and after reading thread discussions can get a consensus on if I want to update or stay on the version I am currently on.

I’m a bit lazier, I have at least one cam of each model (except v4, only one of those) that aren’t as critical. Test it out on one of those first for a week or two.
Now that my old/second phone doesn’t support the 3.x app, I don’t have that luxury there, but since it is pretty easy to downgrade the app with APKs, I just let it go.
