I received an email notification this morning that my yearly subscription (3 cameras) is going from $60/year to $90/year. Realy, a 50% increase? Does anyone at Wyze realize what the average consumer is dealing with these days? Time to cut bait!!
The price increase happened quite a while ago, I’m assuming it is just because your year is almost up that you’re seeing it. I believe it went from $20 per cam to $30 per cam.
You’re still below the point where unlimited ($100 a year) makes sense, but if you add a 4th camera they automatically switch you to that.
dave27, don’t you use Wyze cameras with SD cards and No subscription? That could be another option for the OP.
Yup, have never had a subscription. Though unfortunately SD card prices are out of control right now, and I’m not sure if OP wants the other features or not, but it is definitely a viable alternative.
RTSP on the v3 is also an option, but if they also have v1 and v2 that won’t give a total solution.
