I heard some noise outside and decided to check my events on my OG cam. Seems I have new neighbors. Not sure if that is a good thing or not.
I could not capture this event on video using the Wyze App v3.2.1 (581) on my Android S24. I see the video within the app in Events, but the in the gallery, it only shows up as a photo instead of the video to my phone. I remember @dave27 describing how to get around this issue. I will need to find that post. I had to resort to screen recording on my phone and it had issues, but I got the important part of the action. As often said, I wish I know about this recording issue with the Og-Regular bfore I bought it. I never had any issue with v2, v3 and v4s.
This is an unlisted link, but hopefully it is viewable to forum viewers.
On the left center of the scene you can see some activity. They did activate the motion activated light, but light is very limited at 1 am without IR use.
Go into the file manager on your phone and rename the video file by adding something like a “1” to the beginning. It will then show up in your gallery (or you can just upload it using browse for files if your phone web browser gives that option and look for the .mp4 file).
File location is something like DCIM->wyze->v3 or something similar.
You can also use the gallery built into the wyze app to share, though that will be a two step process to send the file to yourself then upload it here.
I saved a copy of your suggestion to my offline notebook. I should have done that the last time you mentioned it. As soon as I encountered the error, I remembered your solution. I will try tomorrow. I got in late today after a full day of running errands.
That is a good idea. Unfortunately the camera is inside my house, sitting on a window sill.
I heard what I thought were ducks quacking. Never had ducks in my yard and took a look. In over 20+ years of living here, raccoons recently showed up. Only seen squirrels, igunanas, turtles, birds and snakes. Maybe the recent hurricane displaced them.
