New Cam Pan - Comments / Problems (Purple screen)

Purchased new Cam Pan yesterday. Here are some comments and problems I’ve had so far:

  1. It read the QR code and connected to Wi Fi just fine
  2. The unit had firmware 4.10.0.223, and when I checked for firmware upgrade to 4.10.1.8 is available. I ran the upgrade 3 times and each time it would get to approx. 15% and unit would rotate 360 and after a few minutes the status bar would get to 100% and it would show "upgrade failed."
  3. Last night tested the IR night vision mode in large family room, and got nothing but black screen, whether in Auto or On mode.
  4. Tested the IR again this morning and it looks like it works. (I moved it to a tiny bathroom to test), and switching form Auto to On to Off worked okay, BUT
  5. Now it appears it has done its' own firmware upgrade to 4.10.1.8 and now when in Auto or Off mode the screen is purple. Switching to IR mode does activate B/W image.
  6. I restarted camera, turned it off and on but still have purple screen. Very annoying !!
  7. I also had to delete app from IPad and re-install as it was stuck on the screen to turn unit off. Also very annoying.
Has anyone had a problem like this , or suggestions ?

Yes having the same issue. During night when it’s in night mode, it’s all pitch dark. can’t see nothing.

Strangely, when I change mode manually, for a second or two, I get awesome night vision.

What I mean is when I change night mode from off to auto, or from auto to on, for a second or two, night vision works and I can see everything ( obviously in those grayish mode).

Not sure why when night mode is on, everything is dark?

Are you still the same? I did open a ticket for support. If I don’t hear anything I’ll probably return the camera. May be something wrong with the hardware.
