Where is view only mode?
Please fix this! My spouse having to log out and then into and then resetting password then Google home stops working so [Mod Edit] annoying…fix this please!

Totally understand the frustration. It’s ridiculous that a needed request like this has been ignored for 5 years! If my wife can’t view SD card playback then it’s not accurate to say that I’ve shared access to her. Wyze, fix it!

Ability to TURN OFF NOTIFICATIONS FOR SHARED CAMERS
My neighbor shares a camera with me across the street to view my home…however he likes to be notified when his camera trips… but I DON’T… there is no way to turn the notifications OFF… PLEASE MAKE IT A OPTION FOR THE PERSON BEING SHARED THE CAMERA TO TURN OF NOTIFICATIONS FOR THE SHAREE… THE PRIMARY CAN CONTINUE TO GET NOTIFIED ALL HE WANTS, JUST THE OPTION FO THE PERSON SHARED SHOULD BE ABLE TO OPT OF OUT NOTIFICATIONS.

Now that so many of the newer cams don’t support Cam Plus Lite and won’t have Cloud events without Cam Plus on them, that makes sharing the newer cams with a spouse or others barely usable because they can’t view the SD card playback on a shared cam and now there won’t be cloud events for the shared user to view, meaning they can only view the livestream but no events, ever. Will Wyze thus be making it a priority this year to fix being able to start sharing the SD card playback with shared accounts?
Plans to change permissions on shared cameras including sharing limits on the SD card? And make it harder to accidentally turn off all cams in a group?
The biggest grape I have is not being able to look at SD card content without removing it from the camera. As far as I’m concerned that is total BS.
If other manufacturers of cameras can do it, so can you and please quit bending our ear about how much work it is you voluntarily got into this business

Privacy on the microphone with shared users
I would like to be able to control the microphone. Shared users can access it at anytime . I would have know idea if they are listening to my conversations when the camera is in the room. I can’t even see on my phone and app. if they are logged in. So I have know idea if someone is listening.

I can always tell when someone is watching on mine because a red light comes on. If I remember correctly, I think you have to make sure the “status light” is checked in the options. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

How has this functionality NOT been enabled yet? Does Wyze really need nearly FIVE YEARS to allow granular notifications on shared devices? At this point I’m tempted to just ditch my WYZE cameras and buy an Arlo or Ring that will give me basic functionality.

How is possible that something like this has been in the backlog for not months but years? And the excuse is basically “it takes a lot of work”
This is a basic feature that is available on extremely cheap cameras where I pay no subscription service, and for some reason not on a premium product that I pay extra for
I’m going to guess that they spent most of their time on developing the newest products. Maybe now that those are out they may get back to the wish list.

They claim they “hear us” before proceeding to explain how they aren’t going to do anything about it. Wyze, quit releasing half a dozen incremental device updates if you can’t even offer such basic software functionality to your existing ones.
Cam Pan V3 night vision sharing
This wish is for the Cam Pan v3 software. When sharing the camera with another member of the house hold, I notice that the shared user can not control the night vision toggle switch under advanced settings. This needs to be corrected so the shared user can have independents and safety of seeing in the dark. Also i miss the ability to quickly make a change from night vision to regular camera base on a toggle icon on the cameras main page.

Add custom limitations options to shared users
It would be nice to be able to limit the shared users for privacy reasons. Like temporarily turn off their viewing access when we’re home or be able to control your video and audio capabilities and deny them from being able to access past video recordings extra.
My baby cam is able to do all these things and it’s so great.

since shared users cannot view event playback on the sd, functionally i cannot use the home/away setting.
im the primary user, my wife is the shared user. in this scenario she cannot view sd playback on our cameras, which is fairly worthless. even though we are paid cam+ subscribers the cloud playback is inferior to being able to view the entire playback via sd.
if we use the same account on both of our phones, she can view the sd playback but now whenever one person leaves the house the system is set to away, even though the other person is still in the house.

This thread has been getting weekly user comments for over 4 YEARS and Wyze is still ignoring the problem. Is this forum just for users to vent their frustrations? Does the company ever actually address things? Pathetic

They keep having AMA and never address this. Mods keep pointing us to this thread to comment and still nothing. Worst part is that the new cameras remove cam lite so really the best thing to do for a shared user is to subcribe.This is really the intended effect.

(SHARED CAMERA FEATURES) Sharing With NEIGHBORS, ONLY ADMIN can TURN OFF CAMERA, VOLUME OFF on LIVE FEED, NOTICATIONS, Customer Per Shared User, Disable Live Feed During Set Hours for a User
To help with Privacy and Errors…
Only Admin can turn Off a Camera
- if you share with 10 people (neighbors) , you don’t want someone accidentally turning the camera off, yes this happens!
Volume OFF even for live feed (Option)
- don’t want shared users (neighbors) being able to listen in if you have a camera in a room window pointing outside.
Notification Schedules (Each Shared User can Customize)
- I want alerts all day, shared users might just want them at night
Live Feed Shared (Disable/Enable Per User)
- all neighbors don’t need to see a live feed in the day
Live Feed Shared Schedule (Example Nights Only.)
I was going to ask my wife to log out of her account and log into mine so she could have full access to our new motion sensor floodlight, but she has also just purchased her own headphones device which is connected to her account.
We are now stuck and even the work around isn’t really an option. This is getting messy guys, lets please come up with a plan for this! I’m putting off buying more devices until I see how this plays out.
