Multi-Cam Timeline: How do YOU use it?

…I’m still not seeing “the new quick navigation button”. Maybe the events on the cameras I’m looking at are too recent?

On the Monitoring tab, with v3s and a v2, and Cam Unlimited, if I have say 4 cams in a group, and there have been no Events for the last three hours or so (no Event index lines are visible on the Timeline while I am viewing the Live streams on the Monitoring tab) the time ruler at the top of the timeline will be fully zoomed-out (I’ll see HOURS in close proximity, rather than minutes) then a little thumbnail of the most recent distant Event will appear at the far left of the time ruler and tapping it will take me to that Event on the timeline and play it.

A pull down ‘refresh’ of the tab is sometimes necessary before the thumbnail will appear.

Multi-Cam Timeline Dynamic Display

With a 4-cam group. Scrub across the Timeline and drop. Events now display dynamically, expanding and contracting to show active-cams-only, at maximum size, as time unfolds.

4 active cams: 4-up thumbs
3 active cams: 1 large and 2 thumbs
2 active cams: 2 large
1 active cam: 1 large

Pretty slick if you have a lot of action unfolding around a property perimeter

Timeline (Multi-cam)
a. View Events from a Cam group indexed on a horizontal Timeline
b. Scroll and drop Timeline cursor on an indexed Event to view it
c. Watch a semi-automated playback of Events of 4 cams across time

The playback moved from semi- to fully-automated last update, I think.

Now, if the Timeline cursor hits a big blank space (no Events) it continues to the next Event no matter the time gap between them.
