Hello, one of my motion sensor v2s started to give false positive detections after changing its batteries. Previously was working normally, even on low battery.
I’ve tried:
- Deleting device from app, taking out batteries, putting back in, reconnecting to wyse sense hub (hold reset button until see 3 blinking lights, then pair in app).
- Taking out batteries, deleting device from app, putting batteries back, reconnecting to wyse sense hub.
- Lowering detection sensitivity in app (says it will take 2 hrs for changes to take effect), yet still get getting false detections.
- Sensor positioning has not changed. Only new batteries. Using AAA 1.5V Alkaline batteries.
The sensor has false detections in both Disarmed and Away modes. Tried in full brightness room and complete darkness, still false detections. I have multiple sensors and this is the first that acted up after battery change.
Is there a way to forcibly reset the sensor apart from holding the side button or pulling out the batteries? Does the sensor itself have an internal battery that can be drained?
Observation: when I put the second battery back in, the light on side flashes once. How does the sensor calibrate or determine sensitivity, and is there way to force a recalibration?
The false detections are driving me crazy. Can’t use the sensors for their intended purpose with the home monitoring system. Quick search on these forums yield no solution. Anyone have a fix?
