The wren’s nest has a roof! What keeps it from collapsing?
And with all those old growth trees, why don’t I see squirrels eating the bird feed? If I laid it on the ground, it would be gone quickly.

They just threw it all inside the pot in the beginning. And then they started working their way downward. So I guess it became more stable as then went in.
For some reason none of the squirrels here have gotten into my bird feeders. I guess they have enough keeping themselves buy on the ground. They’re always rooting around. That is an oak tree and there are tons of acorns on the ground and under that leaves that were left at the base of the tree.
