We have Andersen casement windows (very popular and common, especially with new construction), which have window screen frames on the room interior. There’s 1.75” between the glass pane, and the screen. The current Wyze Window Cam is a bit too deep (2.05”) to fit between the glass and the screen, plus the cable boot at the camera rear, sticks out even further. A flat USB cable coming out of the camera bottom, would much better fit between glass and screen, and the flat cable would better fit under the screen frame. The thinner the camera body and mount, the better, since it looks like the window mounting also adds depth. The vast majority of my Wyze cams are inside but facing out windows, I’d happily upgrade 10-20 or more of them to Window Cams, if the depth issue was solved with a future model.
Edit: some of your competitors (just check Amazon) have window cams only 1” deep.
