I have found that with Android 15 on the Pixel 9 Pro XL, the watch loses bluetooth connection every few minutes, and can only be reconnected if I turn the phone’s bluetooth off and back on. I have lots of other BT devices and all work just like they did under Android 14 or on my old Pixel 6. Watch is pretty much useless now since it never notifies for anything, it’s just a dumbwatch now.
This makes me wonder if Google monkeyed with the settings between Android versions (again) and if playing around with settings within the Wyze app and/or Android settings for the Wyze app would resolve this. This is what works for me using a Watch 47 connected to a Pixel 4a (Android 13):
In the Wyze app, Account ➜ App Settings ➜ Running in the background (toggled off). Despite having this toggled off, my phone still shows a persistent Wyze notification that says “Wyze app is running in the background”. Toggling it on seems to have no effect for me.
The Watch settings at [Watch] ➜ Running in the Background have the wrong instructions even when I select Google from the Phone Model drop-down list, so I have tended to ignore that and just gone directly to the app’s settings in Android: From the launcher (home) screen, long-press the Wyze app icon and then select App info from the pop-up menu. On the App info screen, one of my items is App battery usage, and I currently have that set to Optimized. This is where I wonder if Google made changes in Android 15.
If App battery usage isn’t the culprit, then I’d also make sure Nearby devices is set to Allowed in App permissions.
I don’t currently have any devices running Android 15, but those are areas I’d probably check if I did and if I was having your experience.
