Long term customer saying goodbye

Just discovered that the Wyze Water Sensor does NOT push notify thru the app that the battery is low so the sensor goes off line also without a notification. Good engineering? I think NOT. The Sense Hub and other devices/cameras notify you when off line, why not a CRITICAL sensor such as a leak sensor??? POOR engineering.

Just called in & was thanked for being a ‘valued customer since 2019’. Took me 20 of getting thru the AI agent to a live one…used to be a 2 minute hold to a knowledgeable tech.

Yes, I’ve purchased over $1K of Wyze products since 2019, but now transitioning to TAPO for a number of reasons:

Local hub event recording - $130 hub pays for itself the first year.

Great fast live phone support

Full functionality in all products

and on, and on… Bye Wyze…

Ouch! Sorry to hear that the water sensor does not offer a low battery alert or notification. I hope this did not result in severe damage of some sort due to a sensor that went offline/died.

I am seeing this same story on the forum more and more. Many people are running from WYZE towards another brand. Maybe someday I will do the same, but for now I am still digging my v2 with bridge, v3,s, v4s, plugs, and various bulbs. I do own the v1 outdoor cams as well, but they became dust collectors within 6-months of purchase.

Good luck with your new brand. I hope it all works out and you remain happy long term.
