Locked Up on first turn-on

Opened the box. The watch started up…

Now it’s “locked up” with the following message:

Core data missing, please connect the Wyze App to upgrade.
ver:0.2.87
device No:22E9

How funny…connect to the app… Uh… Might I ask how? The watch is "frozen, kaput,locked up, noon-responsive… In fact, it won’t even turn off…

Suggestions?

You may be able to pair it clicking the ‘manual pair’ option… then it will scan for BT devices and show ‘22E9’ select that, i did get it to pair, however it still will not add the firmware. so it’s half ‘bricked’ im on the phone with support now, i will assume they will be sending me a new one
