Daylight savings has come and gone for all of us. And unfortunately, my light groups automations have not adjusted to the time properly. They don’t turn on/off at their set times. Is there a way to fix this without having to delete and recreating the group automations?
I don’t have an answer, but I’ll say that it’s not just lighting products that are affected by time changes. Cameras—specifically, microSD recordings—get hosed during the transition to DST, as well, and I have never been able to get Vacation Mode for any Wyze Plugs or Bulbs to work within the times of day that Wyze’s documentation says it should be active. (My last ticket on this remains unresolved.) I don’t know what they do to manage time-based functions, but it’s one of my big disappointments with Wyze.
Anyway, now that I’ve responded, I’ll be watching this topic to see if someone has an actual solution for you!
The Vacation Mode thing frustrates me, for sure. I don’t really care as much about the microSD recording timeline/timestamp issues, but a fair number of people are really bothered by that, and I probably would be if I relied on the cameras for mission-critical stuff. I just really don’t understand why they’re having so many problems with location/time-based features so many years into this.
Good luck with your Automations! I’ll be interested to learn what solution you might achieve.
Good morning! I’ve played around with my lights automation settings yesterday and may have come up with a solution myself. I moved the set times to different hours/spots. Then waited until later and moved them back to the correct hours/spots. It seems to work for now! But I will continue to monitor it for any changes.
