Lens plastic removal

I’m so glad I found this. It was so stuck on mine, I thought it was supposed to be on there. They clearly changed the adhesive from static to sticky. I used a pair of fingernail clippers and that seemed to help peel around the edge.

This worked for me! I did a little snip too with scissors and it came off in a few pieces

I had the exact same problem on two pan cams.

First one, it tore off the grommet so I returned it.

Replacement camera has same issue. Will try above ideas. Sounds like a bad batch :warning:

I’m not sure it’s so much as a bad batch or they changed vendors and so
the film over the eye is not attached like static as they claim (think
protective film over phone) but more like a mild adhesive. When I finally
got the cover off, it was clearly sticky. Once I made that little cut in
the film, it came off in two clean tears. I don’t think it’s customer
service fault…but Wyze who wanted to save $$ and didn’t bother to tell
anyone else about the change.

Same problem. Needed a knife to poke through the plastic and then carefully ran around the edge until 50% was loose. Then I was finally able to very slowly peel the rest away.

Wow, didn’t know so many people had this problem. Will remember that if I have the same problem next time. Thanks to those with their remedies.
