Latest v4 Update works great

Latest update to v4 looks great. Video seems clearer and Micro SD video is very smooth.

Thanks Wyze.

I did both of my V4 cams. The only issue I had was if I hit the sync button for time it said it could not connect. I cleared the app cache, force closed the app, power cycled the cam via smart plug and opened it again and all is well. I always try all the settings and controls on the app after an update, you never know what you’ll find.

True. I haven’t found any issues in what I use on a daily basis. I am sure someone will find issues.

It’s working terrible for me. Possibly because I don’t have any v4s.

If the mounts were the same as the OGs, maybe, but honestly when I looked at the comparison of the images, other than a tad clearer on non-moving objects on the v4, the OG kinda won out for me. The only real benefit would be having the same UI as my Panv3s but that’s not enough to swap them out.

It’s not quite the same, though. Since they added Picture-in-Picture to Cam v4, its interface seems kind of like a Pan v3/OG hybrid. :man_shrugging:

I get your point, though. They’re more similar than dissimilar.

The only reason I stayed away from the OGs was that they had so many issues in the beginning.

Aside from the detection zone thing with the recent firmware, they’ve been great for me, bought a v3 long with them and it went right back after comparing. I think I got them for like $15 a pop, can’t beat it. The v4 does look nice and seems to be more like a 2.5K OG than a v3. But it isn’t enough difference for me to upgrade.

Good to know as I am thinking of adding couple more cameras. Now, having said that with the latest fiasco with Unlimited I am debating should I get Wyze or try different brand.
