I have 6 cameras - mix of PanCam V3’s, OG, Doorbell, and Cam v4. Most of my cameras I have all the notifications off and just have them set to record everything with only 1 or 2 cameras set with any notifications enabled. After upgrading to this latest version of firmware, I’ve noticed I’ve started getting random notifications on some of my cameras. When I check the settings, I see that some notification settings were enabled on their own, and other cameras while correctly still had nothing enabled for notifications, I was still getting notification alerts even though none were enabled. I ended up having to enable all notifications, save and back out, then disable all notifications, and that seemed to fix it for one of the cameras. Then again this morning, a different camera that hasn’t given me any issues, randomly started notifying me of sounds. Super frustrating.
I’m running latest firmware and android app and haven’t seen that. This would more likely be related to an app update than firmware. Maybe a bug with the iOS app (did it update recently)?
If that workaround worked on one cam may just want to proactively do it on other cams. You can also try the “reset services” under each cam but that basically does the same thing, you have to go change your event/notification preferences back to how you want them after.
Also note that you can totally disable notifications on a cam by cam basis (in the main app settings), you don’t have to disable the types individually, maybe there is something related to that.
